Erika Blank Presents Charlotte Moss

"It's about living"

Chosen as on of Traditional Home's 20 Icons of Design, Charlotte Moss has admitted that she got her design gene from her grandmother in Virginia, whose Sunday lunches for the family were a weekly highlight. The New York designer's style captures Southern graciousness, whether in her interiors or collections of fabric, carpets, furniture, china, and linens.
Moss's interiors are a graceful mix of elegance and livability, and they have everything to do with one well-selected decorative accessory after the other. She believes in the personal treasures that make a room more individual, more beautiful, more alive.
And then there's the matter of how these are thrown together-casually, gracefully, flawlessly. Moss has said she looks to Elsie de Wolfe and Nancy Lancaster as inspirations, and she has named her fabric collections for Colette, Vanessa Bell, and Daphne du Maurier. She is also the author of six books about decorating. She is not just a designer, but an icon, an entertainer, and a woman who has a real Flair for Living!
