Barry Dixon was born and raised in Tennessee. Barry’s childhood was spent abroad traveling with his parents in exotic locales such as India, South Africa & French Polynesia. With his mother being an interior designer and his father being an art collector he was bound to have a desire toward design. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in art history and interior design. In 1993, Barry started his own firm in Warrenton, Virginia, called Barry Dixon Inc. where he specializes in high-end residential and commercial interiors from coast to coast.
Barry is known for warmly hospitable Southern design style to projects around the world, bringing a unique perspective to design. He created his own furniture line with Tomlinson/Erwin-Lambeth and was launched in 2005 and has just recently launched his fabric and rug collection. He has been recognized in a wide variety of magazines such as House Beautiful, Southern Accents, and Veranda as well as been viewed on HGTV and Good Morning America.
