Kelly Hoppen- Kaitlyn Davies

Kelly Hoppen was born in Cape Town, South Africa. Her love for design was influenced by her parents, her father worked in the fashion and her mother was a business woman dealing with antique maps and books. As far as her career, Kelly began at a young age of 17. She is famous for her color selections in using muted tones such as taupe. Kelly has devoted the past 25 years to design and developing a style involving straight lines, strict symmetry, neutral color and a splash of eclectic. She combines style, luxury, and simplicity which creates a successful outcome towards her work.
Her cool, modernist aesthetic is at once timeless and at the cutting-edge of style of today. She has appeared in pages of magazines like Architectural Digest, as well the books she has written such as East Meets West and Monochromatic Home. Kelly Hoppen is a world renowned British designer who has won international acclaim through her matchless design aesthetic.

Victoria Hagan's mother was a fashion illustrator. When she accompanied her mother shopping, her mother would ask her opinion on the different fabrics, to which she always had a response. By the age of ten, Victoria was advising her friends as to what color they should paint their rooms. Visits to the Metropolitan Museum also influenced her decision in becoming an interior designer. She attended The Parson's School of Design. While attending the school she interned for the late Simone Feldman. “Meeting Simone was one of the luckiest days of my life,” says Hagan. “She was not only very talented, but stylish in a way I’d never seen before." She now serves on the Parsons Board of Governors.

Hagan has been practicing interior design for 20 years and established her own firm in New York City, Victoria Hagan Interiors, in 1991. When she first began practicing the New York Times described her work as "bound to be influential." In 2001 she launched Victoria Hagan Home, which features fabric and furniture. She has been named one of Architectural Digest’s “Top 100 Designers” and New York Magazine’s “Hottest Interior Designers”.Featured in publications such as Elle Décor, Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Vogue, W, New York Times, Harper’s Bazaar, and
New York Magazine. She was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame in December 2004.

"When I was growing up, we were always moving house. My mum used to love decorating - I think that's what inspired my love of design. We just moved round and round Belgrave Square because she didn't know anywhere else and loved that part of London. There was no question of moving too far, because our dog had a girlfriend at the Brazilian Embassy in the square. Every time we moved he'd go missing for a day or two, and we'd find him in the garden with her.

I think he liked having the door opened by a butler, it was all very grand.

My home is going to be a very relaxed and comfortable home. The last thing I'd want is for people to come for dinner and think, 'Oh God we're going to that decorator's house, we can't sit down.' A home's a home after all."
